The easiest mushrooms you'll ever make
Seriously. The easiest mushrooms you'll ever make, and yet so satisfying.
- Olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1 Tablespoon butter or butter substitute
- One package white button mushrooms
- 3-4 sprigs of fresh thyme
- Salt & Pepper
Preheat the pan over medium heat. While the pan is preheating, slice the mushrooms into 1/3" - 1/2" slices and remove the thyme leaves from the branch.
Add 1 tablespoon oil to the pan and then add the mushrooms, stirring to coat them in oil.
Continue to stir occasionally until the mushrooms are just shy your ideal firmness, about 7-8 minutes. Sprinkle the thyme leaves over the mushrooms and continue to cook about 1-2 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
