Hearty Chili with Turkey (Vegan recipe coming soon)
We don't know about you but a brisk day calls for a hot bowl of chili in these parts. We like red kidney beans combined with corn and ground turkey for a heart healthy choice. And our Easy Beansy spice mix provides that perfect blend of spices for full bodied flavor. Served with your favorite cheese, a dollop of sour cream or yogurt and some peach salsa from Trader Joe's. Or go wild and top with some Frito's. :-)
Easy Beansy Hearty Chili
- 3 tablespoons of Easy Beansy spice mix or your favorite spices
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 2 large Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1 15.5oz can Red Kidney Beans
- 1 lb Ground Turkey
- 1 cup frozen corn niblets
- 1 6oz can Tomato Paste
- 1 15oz can chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbspn olive oil
- Toppings of your choice.
Heat the oil over medium-high heat.
Cook the onion until soft, about 3 minutes.
Reduce the heat and add the turkey, stirring and cook until browned.
Stir in the Easy Beansy spice mix, garlic cloves, Then stir in the tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, chicken broth and frozen niblets. Cook for about 20 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
